Papua BALIEM TREKKING - Iran Jaya Indonesien - 9 days - 8 nights

 

DAY 01/JAYAPURA
Arrive to Sentani Airport.
Transfer to Hotel Sentani and free programm. Arranging the "Surat jalan" entrance permit, to be able to make the trip for Baliem valley.Breakfast.

 

DAY 02/JAYAPURA - WAMENA - JIWIKA
After breakfast, proceed to the airport flying to wamena, the capital of Baliem valley. After check-in we will visit the local market of wamena. Free Time in the afternoon. Overnight Hotel Baliem Pilamo. Breakfast.

 

DAY 03/ TREK 1 : WAMENA - KLISE
After breakfast, leaving for Sogokmo by car, where we will begin the trekking until Klise Dani's village. We will walk through the plain path during 1,5 hours till arrive in Kurima, where we will start to have about half an hour going up and plain until the village of Dani, Klise.overnight in Klise.
Duration about : 3 horas - easy level
Going up about : 300 meters

 

DAY 04/ TREK 2 : KLISE - WAMEREK
Today at the first hour we will walk about 1 hour going up till we find the triangle, which brings us to Tangma and Wamerek going down, during this trip we will adore the magnificient view of Baliem river and Mugi river. From this place we will start to have a difficult part of going down till the village of Tangma,this is quiet difficult of going down level. Then from Tangma till wamerek, it's easy way. Arrive and camping tent in Wamerek.
Duration about : 4 hours - medium level
Going up about : 200 meters and going down about : 400 meters.

 

DAY 05/ TREK 3 : WAMEREK - WESAGALEP
After having breakfast walking down through a path till the hanging bridge of Wesagalep, this trip will bring us to see the beautiful panorama of Baliem river's neck, also passing through some small villages of Dani.Today we will cross the hanging bridge of wesagalep( made of wood and trees roots).After crossing the river a long walk of going up will bring us to the village of Wesagalep. We might walk in this path very slowly and carefully, it might be the most difficult part.

Duration about : 5 hours - difficult level
Going up about : 600 meters and Going down about : 250 meters

 

DAY 06/ WESAGALEP - USEREM
After breakfast we will make a hard walk till the peak of the Wesagalep's hills. During this trip we will pass through the jungle area and sweet potatoes plantations " ubi jalar". Afterwards an easier going down way of trek will bring us to a small creek of Baliem river where we can take a bath and have a rest. The continuation of trek in Baliem slopes will be variety of going up and down until we arrive in the Village of Userem. Camping tent in Userem.
Duration about : 4 hours - medium level
Going up about : 400 meters and Going down about : 400 meters

 

DAY 07/USEREM - WAMENA
After breakfast, leaving early for Sogokmo. This path is mainly going down and little difficult in other side the way is narrow and have to walk very carefully, along this trip we will fing a lot of Dani's small villages. By arriving close to Rio Mugi the way is easier till Sogokmo, where the car wait us to return to wamena. Stay overnight at hotel Wamena.
Duration about : 5 hours - medium level
Going up about : 100 meters and Going down about : 500 meters
Breakfast.

 

DAY 08/ WAMENA - JAYAPURA
Transfer to wamena airport, to catch the flight for Jayapura. Then after arrive in Jayapura, transfer and check-in to Sentani Indah Hotel. Afternoon free programm. Breakfast.

 

DAY 09/ JAYAPURA - Jakarta.
After breakfast, transfer to Jayapura airport for flight to Jakarta.
