Day 01: PANGKALANBUN, KUMAI, CAMP LEAKY (D)
Upon arrival at Iskandar Airport of Pangkalanbun, meeting service and
transfer to Kumai to board motorboat cruising up Sekonyer River. Along the
river you can enjoy the beautiful flora & fauna, like birds, monkeys,
gibbons, and other wonderful creatures of Borneo. Overnight at Rimba Lodge.

 

Day 02: PONDOK TANGGUI, CAMP LEAKY (BLD)
After breakfast visit Pondok Tanggui, an Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre up
Sekonyer River, then proceed to Camp Leakey, research and rehabilitation
centre of the Orang Utan. Trekking through the tropical rainforest searching
for the wildlife and the exotic tropical flora, afterwards return to Klotok
Boat or Rimba Lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 03: CAMP LEAKEY (BLD)
Breakfast at Rimba Lodge/Klotok Boat, trekking in the jungle to explore more
of the Kalimantan tropical rainforest, Meals and overnight at Rimba Lodge.

 

Day 04: CAMP LEAKEY, PANGKALANBUN, BALIKPAPAN (B,D)
After breakfast, free program until departure by boat downstream Sekonyer
River to Kumai and Pangkalanbun airport for your flight via Banjarmasin to
Balikpapan, Upon arrival at Balikpapan, transfer to Hotel Bahtera for
overnight.

 

Day 05: BALIKPAPAN, SAMARINDA, MAHAKAM RIVER ( BLD)
Breakfast at Hotel, then transfer by car for about 2 hours to Loa Janan, to
board houseboat for exciting adventure on Mahakam river. Meals provided and
overnight on houseboat.

 

Day 06: MUARA MUNTAI, MANCONG, TANJUNG ISUY,MUARA PAHU (BLD)
Short sight seeing at Muara Muntai Wooden village, then crossing Jempang
Lake by motor canoe to Mancong. During the cruise you could see Rain forest
and wildlife at Ohong creek like monkey's and birds, Upon arrival at
Mancong, welcomed with a traditional ceremony by the Dayaq Benuaq, one of
the Oldest Dayak Longhouse of East Kalimantan can be found here, Late
afternoon by motor canoe to Tanjung Isuy for sightseeing and continue to
Houseboat for dinner and overnight. Houseboat will cruise up to Muara Pahu.

Day 07: MUARA PAHU, DOLPHIN & BOLOWAN RIVER, UPSTREAM MAHAKAM RIVER(BLD)
Arrive at Muara Pahu, and visit the information center of RASI, which will
give some background information about the last Fresh Water Dolphins at
earth.Afterwards we will spot the fresh water dolphins around and move into
the Bolowan River to see the Exotic Kutai culture collide with the Flora and
Fauna here. Late Afternoon, continue upstream to Melak.

 

Day 08: MELAK, EHENG, OMBAU ASA, TERING, DATA BILANG (BLD)
Arrive in Melak then drive to Eheng by Jeep / Minibus passing beautiful
highland to reach the old longhouse of Dayak Tunjung. Afterwards visit
Kersik Luway and explore the forest, if lucky the famous black orchid can be
seen. Afternoon to Ombau Asa waterfall, an exciting place for swimming.
Return to houseboat and continue upstream to Data Bilang.

 

Day 09 & 10: DATAH BILANG, RUKUN DAMAI, LONG BAGUN (BLD)
Cruising the mighty Mahakam River, on the way stop at Datah Bilang, and
continue to Rukun Damai to observe the way of life of the Dayak tribes and
their Longhouses. Meals provided enroute and overnight at local house.

 

Day 11: LONG BAGUN, RAIN FOREST, RAPIDS (BLD)
After breakfast cruising by long boat between the high rocks passing the
rapids. Then trek and explore the jungle. Afterwards return to the boat for
downstream Mahakam River to Tengarong. Meals provide enroute and overnight
on boat.

 

Day 12: TENGGARONG, BALIKPAPAN (BLD)
Arrive at Tenggarong, visiting the former palace of Sultan Kutai
Kertanegara. Where you will see the Sultan's impressive collection of
heirlooms, ceramics, Dayak's art and culture items. Afterwards by car to
Balikpapan, check in at Hotel Bahtera for overnight, meals en-route

 

Day 13: BALIKPAPAN DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast, free at leisure tiome, till transfer to airport for your onward
flight.
