START AND FINISH : JAYAPURA AIRPORT

 

DAY 01 : JAYAPURA ARRIVAL ( D )
Arrive at Sentani airport of Jayapura, meet by Grand Irian Tours guide, transfer to Sentani Indah hotel for check in. rest of the day is free program. Dinner is included at hotel..

 

DAY 02 : JAYAPURA – WAMENA ( BLD )
Early transfer to airport to catch Trigana flight to Wamena. On arrive at Wamena airport drop by car to Baliem Pilamo Hotel for refreshing and storage the stuff . Full day sightseeing tour in Baliem Valley to visit local market, hanging bridge and Dani traditional village surrounding. After lunch, continue visit Wesaput surrounding and then explore the community of the Dani people at Suroba village. Afternoon drive back to hotel for accommodation with dinner.   

 

DAY 03 : WAMENA - SOGOKMO – KILISE ( BLD )
Breakfast at hotel, with the porters drive to Sogokmo for about 30 minutes, then trek another 1 hour to Kurima for Police permit report at the police station. Afterwards, trek up to Kilise village for 2 hours. Lunch will be serve by boxes. Afternoon explore the village surrounding and visit the Dani huts. Dinner and stay overnight at local house.
 
DAY 04. KILISE – WAMAREK (BLD)
Breakfast, then trek to Wamarek village for 5 hours, walking through the gardens and compunds, lunch will serve by boxes. Afternoon visit the local people house and talk with them through our  guide. dinner and stay over night at local house.

 

DAY 05. WAMAREK – WESAGALEP (BLD)
Breakfast, continue the trek up and down the hill for reach Wesagelep village through Danis garden while viewing the nice scenery and water fall . Lunch sill serve by boxes, dinner and stay at local house.

 

DAY 06. WESAGALEP – USEREM (BLD)
Breakfast, trek down the hill and will crossing the Baliem river to Userem village up the suspension hanging bridge, it will reach for about 56 hours. Lunch will serve by boxes. Dinner and stay at local house.

 

DAY 07 : USEREM – WAMENA - KURULU ( BLD )
Today we trek back to the town of Wamena through a 4-5 hours hike and down passing by the villages of Seinma then we arrive at Sogokmo where we drive back to Wamena then to the north to the village of Kurulu. We will eat lunch at restaurant In town, before we continue drive another 20 minutes to Kurulu where we overnight at a local guest house run by villagers of Sumpaima. In this village we can see the 350 years old mummy.

 

DAY 08 : KURULU – WAMENA ( BLD )
In the morning we hike 1 hour up to Iluerainma salt pool where we can see how the local Dani from nearby villages take make salt. This traditional way of making salt is still doing by Dani who frequently visit this pool in the morning. The trail up to this salt pool is steep and slippery when it rains. If the weather not permitted then we walk 5 minutes to the village of Anemoigi to view the Dani mock battle and pig feast. Mock battle was a Dani traditional practice to train their young warrior during war in the past. We will enjoy this show with it’s pig feast and cooking foods in their traditional way. After the feast we drive back to the town and overnight at Baliem Pilamo Hotel. Lunch prepared by our cook in the village, dinner at local restaurant or at hotel’s restaurant.

 

DAY 09 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA ( BLD )
Today you will fly to Jayapura on Merpati or Trigana flight at 08.30 am, arrive in Sentani air port and touring the city. You will visit Mc. Arthur Monument of WW II up hill of Ifar Gunung then drive down to Sentani lake where you take a boat to visit the village of Assey. After lunch at Youqwa restaurant in the side of the lake, continue drive to the direction of Jayapura visit Hamadi market and arts shops. Overnight at Sentani Indah hotel with dinner.
 
DAY 10 : JAYAPURA - DEPARTURE ( B )
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Sentani airport and departure to your next destination.

URGENT NOTE :
The pig killing program in the day of 8th  is not included yet in our price, BUT, the dani mock war and dances and cooking with traditional way is still done as per our contract itinerary, BUT, without killing a pig only. It’s causing the pig price is to expensive and difficult to find 

 

Price included :
Hotel as per itinerary (Sentani Indah/ jayapura and Baliem Pilamo hotel/ Wamena), meals on F/B (BLD), traveling permit arrangements, all transfer in/out and charter private car during tour, tour donations, cook fee, porter fee during trekking, accommodation in the dani villages, donation to the villagers, airport porter, dani mock war, dances and traditional cooking shows, English speaking guide, 2 bottle of mineral water per pax/ day, helper fee, cigarettes for local peoples.

 

EXCLUDED:
Any Domestic Flights, Travel Insurance, Airport taxes and extra baggage charges.
Personal Expenses such as phone calls, laundry, beverages/drinks etc.
All expenses incurred due to the flight cancellations or due other causes beyond our control.
