Southern Dani Tour Package 11 days

This trip package is create as a moderate trip although need strong enough physically for hiking. Trip is flexible and subject to change due to unpredictable of the hanging bridges when it's broken or other reasons happen in the villages. For any changing of the trip because of those reasons, the trip will manage by the guide on the spot. We are sure this trip package with the services in it will give a fair satisfaction by giving the participant aknowledge mostly to understand about the differencies between the Dani people who lives at Grand Valley and Southern Valley.

D 01    : DENPASAR – JAYAPURA – WAMENA (L,D)
Early morning leaving Denpasar for Jayapura by GA flight. Arrive at Sentani Airport of Jayapura your guide will greeting you and arrange the traveling permit then take connecting flight to Wamena by Trigana a regular flight. Upon arrive at Wamena airport, transfer to Baliem Pilamo Hotel. After lunch at hotel take a visit to see a traditional market of Jibama and a suspension bridge at Wesaput, drive return to Wamena for dinner and overnight stay at
Baliem Pilamo Hotel.

D 02    : WAMENA – JIWIKA – WAMENA (B,L,D)
Have breakfast at Baliem Pilamo Hotel, take car for transfering you to Jiwika to see the Old Mummy of Mabel's family, then hike up to for seeing how the Dani women making salt by the traditional ways. Picnic lunch will be provided. Hike down to get the car then transfering further to visit old traditional villages of Dogum and Suroba. Late afternoon drive return to Wamena for dinner at local restaurant and stay overnigt at Baliem Pilamo Hotel.

D 03    : WAMENA – YUARIMA  (B,L,D)
Breakfast at Baliem Pilamo Hotel then with all the equipment, porters and chef transfering you by car to Kurima direction then take hike up passing through the villages and sweet potatoes terraces, a beautiful scenery. Picnic lunch will be provided. Dinner and stay overnight in tents.

D 04    : YUARIMA – SYOKOSIMO (B,L,D)
After breakfast, proceeding hike to Syokosimo village by passing through the Dani villages, sweet potatoes terraces, a hanging bridge. Picnic lunch will be provided, dinner and overnight stay in tents.

D 05    : SYOKOSIMO (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you will minggle with a Dani family going to the sweet
potatoes farm to have an experience how the Dani people farming, collecting, processing and cook sweet potatoes as their main food. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Stay overnight in tents.

D 06    : SYOKOSIMO – USEREM – WESAGALEP (B,L,D)
After breakfast, bit early start hike to Wesagalep via Userem. The great panorama and feeling of the Dani's life will having during taking this hike. All meals will be provided, dinner and overnight stay in tents.

D 07    : WESAGALEP – IBIROMA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, hike down and up, crossing the hanging bridge to Ibiroma village. At the evening you will have an experience by seeing how the Dani people healing the sickness traditionally in the Pilamo ( men hut ). All meals will be provided. Stay overnight in Tents.

D 08    : IBIROMA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, you will enjoying the Sothern Dani Pig Feast and Dance perorming by native. All meals will be provided, dinner and overnight stay in Tents.

D 09    : IBIROMA – WAMENA (BL,D)
After breakfast, hike back to get the car then proceeding drive to Wamena for dinner and overnight stay at Baliem Pilamo Hotel.

D 10    : WAMENA – JAYAPURA (B,L,D)
Early breakfast, transfer to the airport, then take the first flight of Trigana a regular flight leaving Wamena for Jayapura. Upon arrive at Sentani airport of Jayapura, transfer to Sentani Indah Hotel then as soon as possible used by car transfer to the Sentani Lake side to take boat for touring to Abar village to see the Sentani women making pot clay traditionally then continuing to Assey island for seeing Sentani people who producing of bark clothes then have lunch at Yougwa restaurant at the lake side. After lunch, continuing by car to see the Anthropological Museum of Cendrawasih University and Jayapura vicinity. Late afternoon drive return to Senani Indah Hotel for a farewell dinner and stay overnight.

D 11    : JAYAPURA – DENPASAR (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport take GA flight leaving Jayapura for Denpasar.

What you have to bring :
Warm clothes, good hiking shoes, hat, foldable umbrella, plastic ziplock to
protect gears from wet, suns cream, etc.

Travel permit :
For applying the travelling permit please to provide copy passport,copy Indonesia entry card ( Immigration ) and 2 pieces photograph for each participants.
