SOUTH SULAWESI ADVENTURE MAKASSAR – TORAJA TOUR
INCL. SOROWAKO -  LAKE MATANO

Day 01. ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / TRANSFER IN
According to your schedule of arrival, you will be picked up our Tour Guide then transfer to Hotel for overnight stay / free program.

 

Day 02. MAKASSAR – TORAJA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, take approx. 8 hours drive to Tana Toraja passing through the Buginese villages with their typical wooden houses. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon have some drink or snack on Bambapuang café while enjoy the wonderful view of Mount Buttukabobong. In the afternoon arrive in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 03. FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will visit the stone hanging grave of Lemo with its Tau-Tau effigies. Then to Kambira where we can find the peculiar baby graves in the trees. Onwards we will explore the architecture of Tongkonan houses in Ketekesu village and Londa, which is a natural grave with entombed deceased. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Rantepao. In the afternoon, we visit Nanggala and Siguntuk, local Torajan villages famous for their old Tongkonan houses and rice barns. Then back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 04. FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
In the morning we will visit Tinombayo where we can enjoy the spectacular view of the megalith stones spread over the extensive rice fields. Then to a burial cave of Lokomata. From Lokomata, we continue our trip to Batutumonga where we will a have short trekking, enjoy the beautiful panorama and experience a moment of the unique Torajan life style.. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Batutumonga. In the afternoon, we will visit Pallawa & Sa’dan, local Torajan villages famous for their wood carving. Then back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 05. TORAJA – PALOPO – SOROWAKO / LAKE MATANO (B,L,D)
Early morning check out Hotel and we will depart to Sorowako via Palopo. Between the road from Tana Toraja to Palopo, we will stop on Puncak Paredean to enjoy the spectacular view. Sorowako is a region, located on the east coast of Luwu ( Palopo ) Regency which famous as the center and biggest Nickel ( Metal ) Mine in Sulawesi and the beautiful crystal water Lake Matano. In the mid-day, arrive in Sorowako onwards we visit Matabuntu waterfall in Wasuponda village. In the afternoon we visit the Lake Matano where we will enjoy a boat trip to explore the wonderful scenery and fishermen villages surround, also we can take a change to swim into clear and fresh water. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Then check in at Lusiana Hotel Sorowako / similar for overnight stay – simple accommodation.

 

Day 06. SOROWAKO – MAKASSAR (B,L)
After breakfast, drive back to Makassar. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Makassar. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Makassar.

 

Day 07. TRANSFER AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch your flight to your next destination. End of Tour.
