4 DAYS SUMATERA ORANG UTANS TOUR

Day 1.  Arrive in Medan with flight.. at …

We will fetch you in the airport of Medan and transfer to our hotel Deli River for overnight stay, situated just outside Medan in the middle of a tropical garden.

Day 2.  Medan – Bohorok
In the morning we depart to Bohorok/Bukit Lawang, the orang utan rehabilitation centre via many rubber and palmoil plantations. It takes around 3 ½ hours driving from Medan to Bohorok/Bukit Lawang, part of Gunung Leuser nature reservation in North Sumatra province. In this impressive nature reserve you can see the orang utans feeding in their natural environment. This involves a 45 minutes walk through the jungle to reach the feeding grounds of the orang utan. However walkers must be fit and have suitable, large profile shoes. 2 overnight stays in Bukit Lawang Cottages, located on the bank of Bohorok river.

Day 3. Bukit Lawang –  jungle trekking
After breakfast we leave Bukit Lawang to start jungle trekking for 3 hours with an experienced local guide in the tropical primary rainforest to see the orang utans in their nature enviroment and other flora and fauna. After finished the jugle trekking program, you can do your own program such as: swim on the river or visit the local villages.

Day 4.  Bohorok – Medan
Today we will drive to Medan for catch your flight  to next destination. End of our services.

Includes :  overnight accommodation in above hotels in twinshare room + breakfast, German or English speaking guide,  transport in comfortable air-conditioned minibus + fuel,  the driver, his meals and overnight accommodation costs,  local guide to see the orang utans in Bukit Lawang/Bohorok,  local guide during 3 hours jungle trekking in Bukit Lawang/Bohorok,  entrance and parking fees as mentioned in above program.
