Day 01. ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / BANTIMURUNG TOUR (L,D)
Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will meet our tour guide. Then we will take you to Bantimurung which famous for its multi-stepped waterfall and colorful butterflies. After enough time, transfer to Makassar. Onwards we will visit the Sulawesi Miniature Garden where we can see all types of South Sulawesian traditional houses. Take refreshment at Akkarena Beach in Tanjung Bunga while try to catch the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

 

Day 02. FULL DAY MALINO HIGHLAND TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you on a full day tour to Malino highland which famous for its beautiful landscape and natural countryside. Here we will visit Takapala waterfall where we can do a soft trekking around the area to enjoy several nice spots with fresh and cool air. By passing through the pine trees forest, we visit the Malino’s Green Tea plantation and factory which offers us a superb view with beautiful mountainous panorama. Afterwards, we will take you to Lembanna where we can view the highest mountain in South Sulawesi Mt. Bawakaraeng. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, back to Makassar. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

 

Day 03. MAKASSAR – TORAJA (B,L,D)
After breakjfast, transfer directly to Tana Toraja with a drive approx. 8 hours, passing through the Buginese villages with their typical wooden houses. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, refreshment will be made at Bambapuang Café on the Puncak Lakawan, overlooking to the beautiful erotic Mt. Buttukabobong. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

 

Day 04. FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you on a full day tour around Tana Toraja. In the morning, we will visit Lemo to see the hanging graves with their rows of Tau-Tau effigies. Continue to Londa, a burial cave where we can find entombed deceased. Then we will visit the most famous Torajan village Kete Kesu the most famous Torajan village Kete Kesu where will see the architecture of traditional Tongkonan houses with the rice barns. After that, time to explore the secret of the peculiar baby graves in Suaya / Kambira. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Pallawa & Sa’dan famous as the center of wood carving in Tana Toraja. Then we back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 

 

Day 05. FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will have another excursion around Tana Toraja. Today we will visit Marante & Nanggala, local Torajan villages famous for their big Tongkonan houses and old rice barns. Then to Bori’ to see the ancient and old megalith stone. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Rantepao. After lunch, take a picturesque drive to Batutumonga. On the way, we will stop in Tinombayo to enjoy a wonderful superb of extensive rice terraces with the megalith stones and impressive mountain view. At last, we can take relax with some drinks and snacks in Batutumonga while enjoy the view of Rantepao city from the hill top. Also we can take a change to have a soft trekking to explore several local villages with the typical daily life style of the society. After enough time, back to Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

 

Day 06. TREKKING KENDORA – SUAYA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, your guide will be lead you for a full day Toraja trekking. Today we drop you to Kendora. Then we trek to Suaya passing through some spectacular views, coffee plantations and local villages. Lunch will be served on the spot. In the afternoon, arrive in Suaya. Then drive back to Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
 
Day 07. TORAJA – SENGKANG / LAKE TEMPE (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will depart to Sengkang via Palopo. On the way from Toraja to Palopo offers us many spectacular en route, where we will also stop on the Puncak Paredean for refreshment. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Palopo. In the afternoon, arrive in Sengkang. Onwards we visit the Lake Tempe where we will have a boat trip to explore the daily life of local Bugis fishermen who do live on the floating houses. Dinner and overnight at Pondok Eka Sengkang – simple accommodation.

 

Day 08. DROP SENGKANG TO BIRA / AMMATOWA RESORT BIRA / END OF TOUR (B,L)
After breakfast, we will visit the weaving center where we can see women hand spin and weave silk clothes. Then we drive to Bira. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Wattampone. In the afternoon, we will stop in Tana Beru the center of traditional Phinisi boat building and construction. Then drop to your Resort in Bira. End of Tour.
