Tour Itinerary
Day 01 : Manado - Tangkoko
Arrival in Manado, meet with your guide then transfer to Tangkoko. Afternoon birding around the park, at the same time we can see smallest mammal on earth (Tarsius Spectrum) and Black Macaca Nighra (a group of black Sulawesi monkey). Dinner & overnight at Mama Rose homestay - simple accommodation. (D)

 

Day 02: Tangkoko Birding Days
We will bird early morning looking for Green-backed Kingfisher, Lilac-cheecked Kingfisher, Ruddy Kingfisher, Dwarf Kingfisher, Blue-breasted Pitta, Hooded Pitta, Spotted-tailed Goshawk, Blue-backed Parrot, Philippine/Tabon Scrubfowl, Bay Coucal, Stephan's Dove, Emerald Dove and for rare ones such as Red-backed Thrush and Scaly-breasted Kingfisher. For the Scaly-breasted Kingfisher, we must do a tough hike overnight to the summit of Tangkoko mountain if you want to. Dinner & overnight at homestay. (B,L,D)

 

Day 03: Tangkoko Birding Days
Still birding in the park and using a boat, we should see Sooty-headed Bulbul, Savanna Nightjar, Sulawesi Scopsowl, Pacific Swallow, Rainbow Bee-eater etc. In the afternoon we will bird along Mangrove forest on Lembeh Strait for Masked Owl roosting on a cliff, Grey Heron, Lesser Frigatebird, Little Tern and Great-billed Kingfisher. Dinner & overnight at homestay. (B,L,D)

 

Day 04: Tangkoko - Kotamobagu
After breakfast and direct transfer to Kotamobagu then direct drive (5-6 hours) to Kotamobagu. Birding at Gunung Ambang looking for three endemics and rare species: Cinnabar Boobook, Matinan Flycatcher and Scaly-breasted Kingfisher. The Cinnabar Boobook was discovered 1999, and has only been discribed by calls and seen by a handful of birders since 2005. Dinner & overnight at Patrajasa Hotel. (B,L,D)

 

Day 05: Dumoga Bone Birding
Birding early morning at Gunung Ambang for second chance to see the endemics, if we missed them on Day 04. Keep driving to Doloduo and check-in at Tante Min Homestay. Afternoon birding at Tapakolintang and Toraut for Maroon-chinned Fruit Dove, Ivory-backed Woodswallow, Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher, Small Sparrow Goshawk, Purple-winged Roller, Pied Cuckoo Shrike and Sulawesi Black Pigeon. Night birds: Speckled Boobook and Ochre-bellied Boobook. Dinner & overnight at homestay. (B,L,D)

 

Day 06: Dumoga Bone Birding
We will arise early morning to go to Tambun, a breeding place for Maleo and its nesting ground. We also should see Blue-breasted Pitta, Sulawesi Goshawk, Isabelline Bush-hen, Black-billed Koel, Wandering Whistling-Duck, Bay Coucal and Black-naped Monarch. Dinner & overnight at homestay. (B,L,D)

 

Day 07: Dumoga Bone and transfer to Tomohon
We will try birding again at Tambun for Maleo if we still missed it on Day 06, and then continuing driving to Manado and onwards to Minahasa highland. Check- in at Onongs Palace resort near Tomohon town. Dinner & overnight at resort. (B,L,D

Day 08: Tomohon and transfer to Bunaken Island
We will bird along Gunung Mahawu, a volcanic mountain track for a few endemic species that we missed. We should see Scarlet Honeyeater, Rufous-throated Flycatcher, Snowy-browed Flycatcher, Citrine Canary Flycatcher, Island Verditer Flycatcher, Sulphur-vented Whistler, Yellow-flanked Whistler, Golden Whistler, Yellow and Grey-sided Flowerpecker, Superb Fruit Dove, Blue-faced Parrot Finch, Bay Coucal, Blue-breasted Button Quail, Yellow Wegtail, Barred Rail, Buff-banded Rail and other migratory birds around Tondano Lake. Lunch at the lokal restaurant.  After lunch transfer to Bunaken Island, check-in a New Daniels Cottage. (B,L,D)

 

Day 09:  Bunaken Birding
After breakfast full day birding tour will be continued by boat along Siladen and Bunaken Island. After lunch snorkeling trip, you have time to enjoy the most beautiful and colorful coral reef formation as well as thousand species of fish and others marine life. Than back to cottage for dinner and stay overnight.  (B,L,D)

 

Day 10: Bunaken - Manado City Tour
After breakfast free program until time to transfer to Manado a chek in at Gran Central Hotel. The week in North Sulawesi will give you inspiration what kind of souvenir will gave you memory that you ever here, your shopping here will be combine with Manado City Tour and close with diner in Kallasey sea food Restaurant. Than back to Gran Central Hotel for stay overnight. (B,L,D)

 

Day 11: Manado - Next destination
After breakfast and we will transfer you to the airport for your next destination.
