The Raja Ampat Dive Lodge is located on the island of Mansuar which is at the sounthern tip of Waigeo. It is strategically positioned in the heart of the most spectacular dive sites of Northern Raja Ampat. A short boat ride takes you to the famous manta aggregation site of Manta Ridge and the fish tornadoes off Café Kri. The fish soup at Sardine Reef and the Macro Extravaganza of Mike's Point are also only minutes away.
RADL is built along the fine white sands of Yenpapir Beach and backs into a pristine tropical Rainforest. The resort stretches across the cove with the nearest village a 20 minute walk away. Small mangrove clusters provide shelter for many juveniles and the reef in front of the resort is a heaven for snorkelers.
The beach fronting the resort is extremely child friendly with a gently sloping beach and crystal clear waters that calmly caresses the shore. Comfortably designed with ecological awareness coupled with Balinese artistry, RADL offer divers and holiday makers a practical, comfortable and affordable diving and snorkeling environment.
Reception Lobby Area
Tastefully decorated, the reception welcomes every guest with an iced tropical fruit drink and cool towel to wipe away the pressures of the city. In front of the reception are 2 comfortable sitting areas that are suitable for some private time on to the internet or to make telephone calls.
A small bar offers both cold and hot beverages. There is also the resort shop selling souvenirs and a boutique catering to small personal needs. Upstairs, above the reception, is the entertainment center with a large screen TV and DVD player. Many electrical sockets are available for you to plug in your laptops, transfer your pictures or charge up your equipment.
Electricity is a 2 pin Australian styled socket. The electricity is stabilized throughout the resort. Wi-Fi is available throughout this area and the 2 dining rooms that flank either side of the reception. We are pleased to announce that we are now able to process remittance using the more popular credit cards.
There are 2 dining areas on either side of reception. All 3 main meals are served here daily. Meals are served buffet style with a mix of western, local and fusion dishes. There is also an ala carte menu available throughout the day. Processed drinking water is on a free flow basis. Other hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, soda drinks, beer and alcohol can be ordered from the bar.
The dive facility is located strategically in front of the long jetty. There are hanging racks for wetsuits, BCDs, booties and fins. Baskets located in a self unit provide storage for the more personal equipment. Our unique shower area is located near the 5 large equipment washtubs. Each tub is dedicated for specific equipment with one dedicated to cameras only. Two large tanks of Oxygen can be found in the dive facility. DAN Oxygen kits are available on all our dive boats. Our rental shop offer complete sets of diving and snorkeling equipment. Located at the DRY Area, is the Camera Room. With stable electricity, a sturdy workbench and plenty of towels, the space is ample for 8 photographers to service their equipment in a well lit comfortable, clean and dry environment .
The first sight you get of RADL is its long jetty. The 133m southern facing jetty is perfect for viewing both the sunrise and sunset. With its shaded pergola complimented with lounge chairs, it is also the perfect place to lie back, do absolutely nothing and be one with the sea.
The jetty is also just one giant stride away from the amazing house reef dive- perfect for an evening dive with the Mandarins. Take a stroll at night, look up and besiege the myriad blanket of stars.
Our 4 dive boats are ever resdy to whisk divers to their dive sites. The nearest dive site is only 5 minutes away. Further dive sites can be reached in 40 minutes. All our dives are accompanied by a guide. This includes the house reef. Safety is always a top priority at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge.
