Day 01: BALIKPAPAN, SAMARINDA, MAHAKAM ( LD)
Upon arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and transfer to Loa
Janan, to board houseboat for exciting adventure on Mahakam river. Meals
provided and overnight on houseboat.
 
Day 02: MUARA MUNTAI, MANCONG, TANJUNG ISUY,MUARA KAMAN (BLD)
Short sight seeing at Muara Muntai Wooden village, then crossing Jempang
Lake by motor canoe to Mancong. During the cruise you could see Rain forest
and wildlife at Ohong creek like monkey's and birds, Upon arrival at
Mancong, welcomed with a traditional ceremony by the Dayak Benuaq, one of
the Oldest Dayak Longhouse of East Kalimantan can be found here, Late
afternoon by motor canoe to Tanjung Isuy for sightseeing and continue to
Houseboat for dinner and overnight. Houseboat will cruise downstream to
Muara Kaman.
 
Day 03: MUARA KAMAN, KEDANG KEPALA RIVER, MUARA ANCALONG, LAKE MESANGAT
(BLD)
Early Morning, full day cruise by motor-canoe upstream Kedang Kepala River,
passsing Dayak and Kutai Settlements along the way to Muara Ancalong,
afternoon arrival, check in at guesthouse, if there is some time we will
visit to have a first glimpse of Lake Mesangat for spotting reptiles as the
Black crocodile and Turtle, also Lizards and Birds can be found all around
the lake. Late afternoon return to Muara Ancalong for dinner and overnight.
 
Day 04 : MUARA ANCALONG, LAKE MESANGAT (BLD)
Full day cruise at Lake Mesangat which it 8000 hectare filled with grassland
to explore wildlife of the wetlands. On this trip, you will be captivated by
fascinating nature including landscapes and wildlife as well as the exotic
culture of the inhabitant.The area largely consists of wetland, which covers
about 2/3 of the area, and lowland rainforest. In the lowland forest, the
dominant emergent tree is dipterocarp species. The fauna at the area of
Mesangat Lake is diverse, with about 300 species of bird (25 endemic to
Borneo), 100 fish species. Other animals like proboscis monkey, Siamese
crocodile, clouded leopard, pheasant also habitat this Lake Area. You will
see fisherman floating houses, and can see the traditional way of fishing
and living of the people in this area. Lunch will be served en route, dinner
and overnight at Guesthouse in Muara Ancalong.
 
 
Day 05: MUARA ANCALONG, KEDANG KEPALA RIVER, WEHEA (BLD)
Full day cruise by motor-canoe up stream Kedang Kepala River, passing Dayak
and Kutai Settlements along the way. Upon arrival at Muara Wahau Short sight
seeing at the village, continue to by 4 wheel drive to the Jungle of Wehea,
upon arrival, check in at Jungle Lodge for overnight, meals en-route,
possibility for Night Trek.
 
Day 06 : WEHEA RAIN FOREST TREK (BLD)
After Breakfast, visit the Tropical Forest of 38.000 Hectares Wehea Tropical
Virgin Rain Forest of the Dayak Wehea and Dayak Bahau tribe at Miau Baru &
Wehea area, the diversity of flora and fauna with 60 kinds of tropical rain
forest trees, and more then 100 wild life species can be found here, as
orangutans, deer, and many kinds of birds. Lunch en-route, overnight at
Jungle Lodge.
 
Day 07: WEHEA, MIAU BARU, BERAU, DERAWAN ISLAND (BLD)
After breakfast transfer out of Wehea Rain Forest, sightseeing at Miau Baru
Dayak Kenyah Village, here the traditional Dayak people with Long Ears and a
Longhouse can be found, afterwards continue overland fro about 5 hours to
Berau harbor to board a boat and cross the Sulawesi Sea to Derawan Island.
Check in at Lodge, Lunch en-route, dinner at Local restaurant at Derawan.
 
Day 08 : DERAWAN & SANGALAKI ISLAND (BLD)
Early in the morning by fishermen's boat to Sangalaki Island which is called
the Capital of The Mantas Rays, many kinds of exotic fish could be seen in
this area like the Mantas, Napoleons, purple sea horses, tunitates, dwarf
scorpion fishes, and not to forget the Coral Sea Garden which is still in
tact. In the night we could explore the Turtle bay.
 
Day 09: DERAWAN, BERAU, BALIKPAPAN (B)
After breakfast start our trip cross the sea by fishermen's boat to Berau
for your flight to Balikpapan and your next destination.
