Day 01
ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / TRANSFER TO TANA TORAJA (L,D)
On your arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will meet our Tour Guide. Then transfer directly to Tana Toraja with a drive approx. 8 hours, passing through the Buginese villages with their typical wooden houses. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, refreshment will be made at Bambapuang Café on the Puncak Lakawan, overlooking to the beautiful erotic Mt. Buttukabobong. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 02
FULL DAY TANA TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you on a full day tour around Tana Toraja. In the morning, we will visit Lemo to see the hanging graves with their rows of Tau-Tau effigies. Continue to Londa, a burial cave where we can find entombed deceased. Then we will visit the most famous Torajan village Kete Kesu where we will see the architecture of traditional Tongkonan houses with the rice barns. After that, time to explore the secret of the peculiar baby graves in Suaya / Kambira. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Pallawa & Sa’dan famous as the center of wood carving in Tana Toraja. Then we back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03
FULL DAY TANA TORAJA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will have another excursion around Tana Toraja. Today we will visit Marante & Nanggala, local Torajan villages famous for their big Tongkonan houses and old rice barns. Then to Bori’ to see the ancient and old megalith stone. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Rantepao. After lunch, take a picturesque drive to Batutumonga. On the way, we will stop in Tinombayo to enjoy a wonderful superb of extensive rice terraces with the megalith stones and impressive mountain view. At last, we can take relax with some drinks and snacks in Batutumonga while enjoy the view of Rantepao city from the hill top. Also we can take a change to have a soft trekking to explore several local villages with the typical daily life style of the society. After enough time, back to Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 04
TORAJA – ENREKANG / SA’DAN RIVER TREK & RAFTING (B,L,D)
After breakfast, pick up at 08h30 and spend the morning driving to the trailhead. Magnificent views of Sa’dan canyon unfold as the trail winds its way along the river valley. During the afternoon trek there’s time for lunch, drinks and snacks. The overnight at Pondok camp is in en remote Torajan village and is in traditional style. Dinner will be prepared over an open campfire by the guides.
Day 05
DAY WHITE WATER RAFTING / DRIVE BACK TO RANTEPAO (B,L,D)
Another river day through the majestic ridges and mountains in the southern gorge. The swift rapids, lively wave trains, and frequent splashes of cool water are the best way to travel through the grandeur of Sulawesi’s incredible geography. By afternoon the take-out point is reached. After some cool refreshments, transportation is provided for the return trip to Rantepao (reunited with your luggage), breakfast and lunch are included, transfer to the Hotel for dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 06
TANA TORAJA—MAKASSAR / TRA NSFER AIRPORT (B,L)
After breakfast, check out hotel. Then drive back to Makassar via the same road. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon arrive in Makassar, and transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch your flight for your next destination. End of Tour.
