Day 01. ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / CITY TOUR (L,D)
Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will be picked up by our tour guide. Then we will take you on a city tour around Makassar by visiting the Museum of Balla Lompoa where we can find various ancient heritage collection of the past Gowa kingdom. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Sulawesi Miniature Garden where we can see all types of South Sulawesian traditional houses. In the afternoon, we will visit the Fort Rotterdam an old fortress of the past colonial Dutch V.O.C. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

 

Day 02. FULL DAY MAKASSAR HIDDEN PARADISE TOUR & TREKKING (B,L,D)
( KARAENTA NATIONAL PARK + RAMMANG-RAMMANG TREKKING )
After breakfast, we drive approx. 1 ½ hours to Karaenta National Park located on the east coast of Makassar, a forest which occupied by small monkey habitat. Here we will meet with Mr. Haro, a jungle man who will lead us for a soft trekking to find the monkeys for feeding time. After enough time, we will take you to a local restaurant in Maros for having lunch. After lunch, trekking from Bosowa to Rammang-Rammang passing through the karst stones spread over the rice fields and the small rivers. After we get to Rammang-Rammang, we will direct to the Lake and have a wooden boat called Lopi’ used for looking around to enjoy the natural and beautiful view around the area. Late in the afternoon, back to Makassar. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

 

Day 03. PARANGLOE RAIN FOREST TREKKING + MALINO TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you to Parangloe passing through the riverside of Lake Bili-Bili. Here in Parangloe, our tour guide will lead for an enjoyable rainforest trekking walking through the rubber and bamboo plantation until we get to a waterfall which situated on the valley where the place is still very natural. After enough time, we continue our adventure to Malino, a high mountain resort approx. 1300 meters on the sea level. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Malino. After lunch, we will visit the Malino’s green tea plantation with its superb mountainous view. In the afternoon, we will visit the Takapala village to enjoy atmosphere in local villages with nice and beautiful rice terraces and multi-stepped waterfall. After enough time, back to Makassar. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel. 

 

Day 04. MAKASSAR – SENGKANG / LAKE TEMPE EXPLORING (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we set out to Sengkang via Buludua. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Soppeng. In the afternoon, arrive in Sengkang. Onwards we will visit the Lake Tempe where we will have a boat trip to explore the daily life of the local Bugis fishermen who do live on the floating houses. Dinner and overnight at a simple accommodation in Sengkang.

 

Day 05. SENGKANG – TORAJA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will visit the weaving center where we can see women hand spin and weave silk clothes. Then we depart to Tana Toraja via Palopo. The journey between Palopo to Toraja offers us many spectacular views en route. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, arrive in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

 

Day 06. TREKKING BATUTUMONGA – LOKO’MATA – RANTEPAO (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we drive to Batutumonga highland which approx. 1300 meters on the sea level. Photo stop will be made at the spectacular view of Tinombayo. Then drop off to Batutumonga, onwards trekking deep in the countryside through the foot path, crossing suspension bamboo bridge and coffee plantation. En route, you will find beautiful landscape, old traditional houses, stone graves. Lunch will be served on the spot. After arrive in Rantepao. You will be picked up by our driver and continue to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 07. FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you on a full day tour around Tana Toraja. In the morning, we will visit Lemo to see the hanging graves with their rows of Tau-Tau effigies. Continue to Londa, a burial cave where we can find entombed deceased. Then we will visit the most famous Torajan village Kete Kesu where we will see the architecture of traditional Tongkonan houses with the rice barns. After that, time to explore the secret of the peculiar baby graves in Suaya / Kambira. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Pallawa & Sa’dan famous as the center of wood carving in Tana Toraja. Then we back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 08. DRIVE BACK TO MAKASSAR / TRANSFER AIRPORT (B,L)
After breakfast, we drive back to Makassar via Pare-Pare. On the way, we will stop on the Puncak Lakawan for having coffee break while enjoy the beautiful view of the erotic Mt. Buttukabobong. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, arrive in Makassar. Onwards, transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport for your flight to your next destination.
